Our history
We believe that everyone deserves to feel happy and comfortable. Even after 85 years, we've learned that a little bit of knowledge about well-being goes a long way.
Our research mission
We live and breathe research. Right now, hundreds of Yakult researchers are investigating how L. casei Shirota, and in the context of microbiology, can contribute even more to the world. If our bacteria can reach our intestines alive, what other amazing things can they do? Every single day, we gain new knowledge from our wonderful teams in Japan and Belgium.
How is Yakult produced?
Our mission is to create a happier world through lactic acid bacteria – one bottle at a time. Since the first bottle was made, our process has changed, but our goal is still the same.
